Optical Illusion Dress.
Some might have heard if not maybe seen a type of dress called an illusion dress and that is because they pattern of the dress magical creates a slimmer,curvier,bustier outline to your body. Want to create that curvy body without going on a diet well read on. Its hard to explain but I will try my best, designers cleverly used patterns and shapes to make it look like your slimmer.

 Here we have the beautiful Kate Winslet at the 2011 premier of Mildred Pierce in Italy. At first glance Kate looks as if she is size 6/8 but look closer and see that the dress actually black side panels. The black side panels magically blends away into the background so you are only focused on the front white section of the dress making her seem skinnier. Having the dark panels on the dress also gives her an amazing hour glass figure that everyone wants. Ok so it doesn't take pounds of you but it does slim you down a bit and personally I think that's great. Something also about this dress is the clever use of shade added to the bust area of the dress. The shadow under her chest is actually part of the dress design, having that dark shadow enhances the chest area as you can see. So if you're not too big in that area and you want more shape then getting an illusion dress with build in shadow is for you. And on the right we see her strutting those curves in the red dress. It doesn't really matter as long as the you have the black panels on the side of the dress to give you those curves and tiny waist.

Here we have another example of the illusion dress on Louis RedKnapp at the GQ awards. She looks slim and curvy and all because of the dress she's wearing.


However this style of dress doesn't always suit everyone, unfortunately talking Kim Kardashian as an example. Why she thought she needed an illusion dress I dont know seeing as she has a to die for body. The dress Actually made her wider(in an unflattering way) and slightly shorter in my personal opinion. If you already have an hour glass or even pear shape then I would not advise that you buy this dress. Sometimes it depends where the panels are but if you do think about getting one of theses dresses then try them on so you dont ending turning heads for the wrong reasons.


Just to show sometimes it does depend on the style of illusion dress you get, here the illusion is because of the shading at the side rather than just the block panel. This dress does emphasize that great body and make her look taller which is great for small girls.

If you want to look skinnier but cant be bothered with all the diet fuss then these dresses are for you. They come in different colours and some slightly different style. Ok so  today I stumbled across this website and there is alot of really nice clothes and at good prices. http://www.missrebel.co.uk/

This shirt is really cool, I think chiffon shirts are really nice and summery. I love this shirt because of the cheetah print piping, Sometimes too much cheetah print can took a bit tacky to some people but I love it. I would wear with just a pair of jeans and if you can get some cheetah print shoes then you've got yourself a killer outfit. This shirt is £13.99.


These are really eye-catching and really funky. There's not much more you can say really but I would wear this with a simple black or coloured shirt. There's funky leggings are £5.99.


As you can probably tell I quite like prints and patterns and this top is rocking. I love the look of the sketch black and white pattern that covers the top. I would wear with legging and if you really want a rockin outfit then go for some leather leggings and platforms. You could also add some colour to the outfit by wearing coloured accessories. Another great price this top is £7.99.


This chiffon chain print blouse is £13.99, There's something about the print that makes it seem a little bit expensive, I think it could be the gold print. This blouse is really cute with it having no sleeves and it being tied up at the front. I could see this working with a long skirt or just jeans and some heels. This top would really do with some big,chunky gold bangles.


This Gold Lip Crop Top is only £3.99. I quite like this top, I like the style and the big golden lips on the front. I hate to use the word swag but personally I think this top has it. I think these would go really nice with some harem trousers or skinny jeans. Some gold heels will really add some glamour to your outfit.


A really nice pair of trousers that are £19.99. I quite like the shape of these trouser there not too baggy yet there to skinny. I also like the colour of the trousers. Any shirt or top will go really with these trousers. Im not 100% sure on the creased look of the trouser but they might look different when they are put on.


This bell sleeve bodysuit is only £9.99 which is a really good price. I really like bell sleeve there's something really glamorous and girly about them. I think this would be paired with a long floaty skirt to create that floaty feel. Then again you could wear with jeans with the top adding that bit of glamour. This would be  accessorised with some bold necklace and rings.


This is only a small pieces that I personally really liked from the website. The prices are amazing and theses aren't even from the sale part so if you want to look great at a good price then head over to the website. Happy shopping

I just went on he forever21 website to take a look at their stuff and came across their new tribal jewellery. This is great as tribal and Aztec is making it this summer so its worth taking a look. Theres a lot of rustic silver and turquoise coloured stones.


How amazing is this necklace and for only £10.65, its a statement piece. I love the dangling pieces on the necklace,it creates movement. This would look really nice on a Aztec print dress or a simple dress.


This bracelet is beautiful, I love the colour of the faux marble beads. The size of the bracelet also means that it is going to stand out and look great. This will add a that bit of colour to a black and white Aztec or tribal dress. This piece is £8.99, a bit pricey but really lovely and slightly old looking.


Love these earrings, the beads at the top creates a lovely tribal feel to it. And again with the length of the earrings you will be creating a statement. I love the colour of the beads on top the golden brown and light blue. These beautifully crafted earrings are £5.65.


I love rings and this one is really vintages looking with the darkened silver. And in the middle a lovely coloured faux stone. The size again will create a statement look on your hands and will look amazing with your outfit. The ring is a stretchy ring so threes no bending the ring to fit your finger size.

I love this skirt its really pretty and summery. I absolutely love the colour its a pretty shade of blue. Again having it short at the front gives it that flirty look but its also really cute. Yesterday was Nickelodeon's 25th Kids Choice Awards which was held at Galen Centre in Los Angeles,California. The night was filled with celebs, performances, awards and a bit of goo. The Award ceremony doesn't air until later today but I thought I would do a blog post about the fashion on the 'orange' carpet. I have to say I think at this event everyone did look amazing and that nobody got it terribly wrong. There was a lot of summery trends and colours on the carpet which I loved.


Here we have Emma Stone in a baby pink dress.This simple dress gives her a girly and pretty look. The colour of the dress compliments her skin tone well. She even did well with her the rest of her outfit, wearing a nude colour pair of shoes and having a subtle but  glowing make-up. Also the wavy hair makes her look that much prettier. She did well and looked stunning, her outfit could be described like a soft pink rose.


This is a dress that I absolutely loved from the event, it fits in with this years fashion trends as its layers with a salmon pink chiffon material. Its a very girly and floaty dress which creates and sping/summer feel. I also like the pattern of the underneath material, its like a burnt tie-dye sort of pattern. Its a very girly yet she adds a  bit of rock by pairing the dress with black rockin heels, a clutch and belt. The black accessories brings out the colour of the dress as well as the belt cinching in her waist. Having the dress cut at different lengths gives the dress more of a youthful and fun feel. You could probably create this style by pairing a chiffon dress or shirt with a dress which wont be hard as both are a fashion trend.


This girl looks absolutely stunning, quite like an Egyptian goddess if im honest. This dress is a lovely dress, I think the colour is really nice. The orange isn't to in your face and is a real summer trend colour. She has made the outfit that much more glamorous with stunning yet simple pieces of gold jewellery. Its a very elegant and glamorous look for the even. Also her dark and smoky eyes make up that stunning goddess look. I dont this outfit could do with anything more or anything less, she just looks stunning. This colour will definitely be seen in the summer.


This girl looks so pretty in this cute yellow dress. Another summer colour making its way on the carpet at the kids choice awards. I just love the simplicity of this outfit, the only decoration on this dress is the rose on the top of the dress.  She is someone who can get away with wearing a simple cute dress.  Again I love the colour of the dress, its very summery and subtle. I love how she has paired it with a very gorgeous pair of gold strapped shoes, its adds a bit of glamour into the outfit. She also has only got a small diamond necklace to add a bit of sparkle. This is a very cute and youthful look which I love and can see working its way into our closets for the summer parties.


There was no point in this post about the kids choice awards without the mention on the fabulous Katy Perry. This was a very bright, 1920's inspired, very green outfit for the even yesterday but this is Katy Perry. It is very crazy but I do slightly love it, with the goo on her top and the bright green shoes. Its a shame that she didn't get gooed at the ceremony as it would have added that extra bit to her outfit. Something that I do love from this look is her amazing hair.I love the 2 tone mix of blue and purple, it really suits her but then again what wouldn't. This fantastic woman could literally go any colour and she would pull its off. This is a very weird yet slightly cute look.


It wasn't just the older girls that were looks stunning at the kids choice awards, but 12 year old Kiernan Shipka. I saw this picture and just thought how cute she looked its pretty and simple which is just right for her seeing as she is 12. I love this shift, soft pink dress its so pretty on her and wouldn't mind having something like this dress in my wardrobe. She sweetly completes her look with a a pair of nude coloured ballet pumps and has her hair tied up in a ballerina bun. I love just how sweet she looks and she's not dressing as if she's older. I love what she's wearing now so I cant wait to see with what she comes out later on in the future.
