Gemma Collins launches plus size clothing range

I don't watch 'The Only Way is Essex' but when i read that Gemma Collins was launching a new plus size clothing range i had to post about it. I know that she is someone who likes her body and is proud of it and this is what makes her inspirational. It would be amazing if everyone was happy the way they are whether they're size 8 or size 14. She has designed a range of tops and dresses but this one is one of my favourite. I think the cut out flower detail is really pretty, quite Marchesa like. With the pink underneath the flowers stand out even more. Its even cuter because its A-line and gives it that floaty feel to the dress. I love the scalloped hemline, its simple but is such a stunning detail. I would actually love to wear something like this. If your a plus size you don't have to wear baggy jumpers and track-suits and the stunning Gemma Collins has helped with that. I'm not plus sized but I think if I was and I saw that Gemma Collins was happy the way she was and even designed a collection I would start to feel comfortable in my body. She didn't loose weight to fit into pretty dresses she just designed dresses that would fit her and make her look gorgeous. If you look on her website you'll find dresses that can be worn during the day and evening, some like this one can be used for both. Its just a matter of changing choose and adding some accessories. The dresses vary from £35 - £75 and the tops vary from £30 - £50 a bit pricey but there designed by Gemma Collins what more do you want. The sizes start from size 12 and vary with each garment. No matter what your size you have the right to looks fabulous and no-one should stop you from doing so.

A bit of fashion designing

So I though I'd do a bit of designing today. I drew the outline of the dress and then scanned it onto the computer to add the print. I'm really pleased with how they've both turned out, the galaxy style print looks really cool. Both as an actual dress would look pretty cool. Which design Is your favourite?

LJ Couture

Do you find getting dresses to fit you perfectly sometimes a bit tricky? Well then you should check out a new company called 'LJ Couture'. They are an online boutique specialising in "made to measure, bespoke, crystal embellished dresses for all occasion". What makes them different from all the other online website is how personal your dress would be made for you. Its great for if you want a dress specifically for an event and you cant seem to find the right one in the shops. Also if you design your dress then the dress is one of a kind and nobody will be wearing what you wear for definite. I hear that once made the dress that you design could potentially be sold on the website which is really cool.
Lisa Hendy sent me some pictures of some of the dresses and they are absolutely stunning. I love the cute styles and colours. Below is a few colour charts that she uses, you can see the variety of colour that you can potentially choose from. There's the selection of pastel colours to bright colours which are all stunning shades.

From the couple of pictures I got sent the two below are my favourite. With the one on the right I love the style but also that stunning colour. There's something about the colour that reminds me of the Disney film Aladdin. The two colours go really well especially with the gold beading in the middle of the dress. I love the dress on the left simply because of how pretty it looks. I really like the peachy/nude colour of the skirt. The beauty of this dress is on the top where its all beaded and creates a lovely design. Just going back to the fact that these dresses are hand-made makes them even more special

I guess some of are wondering about the price, according to her interview with rmmagazine the dresses range from £190 - £290 which I think is amazing.

A part of the interview that I wanted to add just because it inspired me as a fashion student wanting to go into the fashion design industry. Reading her interview I can see that she went through the same stages that im going through so hopefully one day I could have my own fashion business/ collection just like her.

"What advice would you have for someone looking to start their own label?
What I have learnt is that anything is possible. Whether you want to launch your own fashion label or start your own business, if you believe in your work and have the confidence in your product, then you go for it. One thing I will say is be practical and well prepared. It may not work out but if you don’t try these things, you will never know. The only person that ever holds you back in life is yourself."

If you are interested in what you see here please contact Lisa here, her website it currently unavailable (at the time of writing this post so check out the website to check) so check out her twitter or send her an email for more details.

Impress Nails By Broadway

This post is going to be about this amazing new product by Broadway. For those who don't know about these nails they are stick on nails, like the ones you had when you were 12 but these ones actually last longer. I saw the ad for these and straight away thought that the concept of them would be amazing. I thought i'd get them for my prom so I did. I dont wear nail varnish so having these would be great. I'll start with the package, as you can see the package is a nail varnish bottle which I think is really cute, you twist the lid off and open up the container. Inside there is 24 nails that you choose to fit your finger nail. The only hard part is seeing what one fits you. Once you've chosen your nails you just peel the layer or plastic and apple to your nail, add a little pressure and your done. I left my right hand thumb and pointing finger last just to make the process of taking the plastic off easier. I had them on and they looked amazing, they really do look like you've gone and had them done.
The question everyone asks, how long did they actually last for?. To be honest with you I took them off on the 3rd day of wearing them just because of religious reasons and me not being able to wear them when  I pray but thats another post. To be exact I put them on Monday around 8:00pm and took them off Wednesday 5:00pm so even that period of time is good. I found that on Thursday morning they were still sticky so I put them back on for school for about 9-10 hours and then took them back off. Taking them off I had to use a bit of force not alot but a bit, this shows that they dont just fall off and is really sticky and will hold onto the nail. There was a little of the sticky stuff on my nails but with a wash that came off. They didn't fall off once when I had them on which was really good, and they felt like they were going to stay there.
They did cost £8.00 and at first im not going to lie I was a bit put off but that might be me being stingy but after having them on I was ok with the price. With the look and concept of the product I think I would but these again. The only thing that I would improve with the product is to make it a bit longer but thats just down to personal taste.I've still got another set left over from the 24 so thats good. Overall I am really please with this product and I recommend it to everyone. It was nice to have some patterned nails for once.
When I went to go buy these in superdrug there was only 2 patterns available so maybe order them online from the website so that you definitely have that choice. The other patterns are really nice and vary from French manicure to cute floral designs.

So what do you think of them? Have you purchased these nails, what did you think of them?

Prom

In my school if you stay for 6form in total you'll have 3 proms; year 11, year 12/ 6form (saying goodbye to year 13) and then the last year of year 13. So on Monday I had my year 12 prom which was really amazing. The venue was all fancy and everyone looks lovely. So this is just a quick post about what I wore on the evening. The image isnt as clear but to describe my dress the top was lace and then it had a chiffon skirt which was shorter at the front then the back. Lace and chiffon are my 2 favourite materials so I loved the dress. I wore a fitted trouser, Indian styles that my nan made which looked quite nice. Shoes are nude and black and from new look, they were my first stiletto shoe and I managed to keep up and didn't fall once. I added a bit of sparkle in my headscarf (ends had scatters diamantés which was really nice), my big head-scarf pin, earrings, ring, bag and eyelashes... cant have too much sparkle. Make-up was quite glamorous with black smoky eyes and red lipstick and blusher. And finally my nails which are the new Nicole Scherzinger Impress nails which were cheetah print which were amazing (review soon). I think that is it, so yeah what do you think? Had a prom recently?

Prairie Charms

♥ The simple things in life, are often the best (PRE-ORDER) - product image♥,Beauty,is,in,the, eye,of,beholder♥,You,can't,judge,a,book,by,its, cover

Ok so i thought I'd better let you know about this new jewellery company that sells these simple but cute bracelets. There's not a lot to choose from but the ones that are there are really pretty, these were the top 3 bracelets that  really liked. Something that I like about these are because they are simple beaded bracelet with 1 charm you can wear a few of them without it looking to much. The princes range from £8 - £12 and 10% of proceeds will benefit the Great Ormond Street Hospital charity 'Kiss it better' campaign which is really lovely. So buy a new bracelet and give a little to charity everyone wins, but obviously people need to get buying to make that bit of a difference. They would be lovely as gifts for friends and family. A little birdy has told me that throughout July there will be some great deals to keep a look out.

Young Sweetheart

Young Sweetheart

I found a new site a couple of days ago called http://www.thefashionbible.co.uk/ .They asked me to blog about their website so I did. Looking through their site I saw a range of garments but what I loved was their dresses. Their dresses that they had on offer were quite cute and vintage looking. As well as dresses they do have tops, skirts and more which I really liked. Some of the pieces were like the ones you saw in shops but some of the garments were quite different from what I've personally seen in shops, but that's not a bad thing. I took my favourite dress and put it in an outfit which was made on polyvore. I just loved the print and the big sleeves, its quite princessy in a way. When I saw this dress I just imaged a cute romantic scene and so the accessories were quite cute and girly. Having the small socks and the heels gives it that cute girly look and the ring and the necklace just adds to the floral look. Everything but the socks and ring is from the fashion bible so if you like something just check out the website. Its definitely a fashion website you can check out. Oh and I almost forgot to mention how great the prices are, the dress in the picture is only £16.00 which I think is a really amazing as its a stunning dress.

One of my favourite fashion designers

Ok so I thought I'd take a look on the vogue website to check out the new collections and found one of my favourite designers on the start page. The designer that im talking is the Marchesa who designs stunning, elegant gowns (mainly). She creates stunning gowns that have been seen on the red-carpet several times. In three words I would describe her collections as elegant, pretty and glamorous. Her Pre spring/summer 2013 collection did not let me down but just made me love her as a designer more. Her gowns that she designer are either simply decorated or designed with exquisite fabric manipulation (Guessing your not all fashion students that basically means just creating textures and shapes just by using the fabric itself). She doesn't need to put a lot into the design to create something so beautiful. If I won the lottery she would be the first designer I would purchase something from, her garments are so stunning.

From her pre spring/summer 2013 collection these are the 5 that are my favourite. They are all really glamorous and really pretty.
1. The first dress I liked just because it was filled with with embroidery and beads but it an elegant way. The detail is just in that rather than the shape of the dress. The chiffon and nude colour lining creates, to me a fairy tale like dress as if the beads are actually on her. This is a dress that I would love to wear down the red carpet.
2. This is the first dress in the collection that I saw and I liked how pretty and sophisticated it was. This is something that someone young like me could wear. Its the one shoulder shape that gives it that youthful and slightly fun look to it. I also think the laser cut detail is just stunning. If you zoom in on the website you can see the laser cut fabric even better. Again the detail is in just that laser cut layering which is stunning.
3. This is a dress that looks at fabric manipulation. The detail is in the way the fabric is folded and also layered to create that fishtail skirt. There is no beads or embroidery on this dress, its just some fabric thats been placed to look elegant. This looks like a dress that seems as it makes you feel like your floating. The sleeves are also very lovely and princess-like.
4. This is another laser-cut garment that I just love. Having the laser-cut top over the black dress emphasises the stunning pattern. Having the top also outlined in black against the white makes it really stand out from a far. I also like this garment because of the way the top goes in at the waist and back out. It creates that glamorous and smart look. I would love to create something similar inspired by this as it just looks stunning and something thats taken ages.
5. This is a dress that has just that bit of decoration to make it very beautiful. I love mix of the gold and silver which makes it look so much more expensive. The top is also layered on the skirt to give it that Greek- goddess feel which is stunning.

So thats just a little bit of 1 of my favourite fashion designers, what do you think of Marchesa. Who's your favourite fashion designer?

#7days7dresses

\

So today I read that I had two days left to enter an amazing competition. The competition was to put together 7 outfits for 7 days with a dress from new look. So I came home from school and got styling which was really fun. Just in case you want to know the site I used to put the outfit together was polyvore which is amazing and easy to use. There wasnt really a theme or particular style for the weeks outfit but probably I'd say there were cute, pretty and fun. My favourite outfit is Monday as its really cute and quirky with the carousel horse print. If I won this competition I would just be forever smiling but making them up was fun anyway. What is your favourite day outfit?

2. To Soften dry and cracked elbows.

3. Dry cuticles: Store a mini-Vaseline container in your purse and utilize for emergency dry cuticle moments.

4. For kissable, luscious lips: Fall is a beast for drying out summary, dewy lips. Vaseline is there for you and your irresistible pout. You can also mix Vaseline with Kool-Aid powder and make a colored (and flavored) lip gloss.

5. To Help your scent stay: Softly rub Vaseline all over your perfume points (i.e. the cleavage, behind the ear, neck, and wrist) and your scent will last longer!

6. It is a misconception that Vaseline clogs pores, so smear it all over your face, neck and arms for softer skin.

7. Lipstick Smudges: Spread a little Vaseline over your teeth and lipstick smudges be gone!

8. To remove last night’s battlefield makeup: Apply some to a Q-tip and have a pretty day.

9. Perfect for an eye-shadow/blush boost: Apply some under your eye shadow for a glossy affect. Apply on the apples of your cheeks for a dewy glow. Mix with lipstick for a cream blusher!

10. It eases eyebrow plucking: Tame your eyebrows and lube up the under-skin so you can pluck with ease.

11. Prevent hair dye from seeping onto your forehead: Softly dab all over your hairline and keep that box hair dye from dying your forehead the color of your new hairdo.

12. To make your accessories look brand spankin’ new: New job interview? Scuff the crap-ole-la out of your patent leather heals thanks to pitcher night? Put a small dab on your shoes and shine away!

13. Hide Split Ends: Haven’t had a haircut since your budget only allows you go to Great Clips for a quickie? Hide damaged ends with a small amount on your ends.

14. Remove makeup stains for your clothes. Dab a little with a damp cloth.

15. To Prevent spray-tan streaks: Rub all over the backs of your knees, ankles and hands to prevent seriously frightening spray tan lines.

16. To get those O.P.I. nail polish bottles open: Is it just me or do I always try to get those babies open after I shower. Make it easier for next time and rub Vaseline under the cap. Then go ahead and do a D.I.Y manicure.

17. It’s your new exfoliating body wash: Mix with sea salt and come out of the shower feeling soft, and sexy.

18. Remove false eyelash glue from your lash line.

19. Can be used to smooth and soothe skin after shaving.

20. Lubricates ear lobes and helps to make earring insertion easy and painless.

* Bonus - Once you carve your Halloween pumpkin, rub Vaseline on the exposed edges. It keeps it from rotting or going dry.
